FBI Now Assisting Foxboro Police With Sheehan Case

The FBI has announced that they will now be assisting the Foxboro Police Department in following leads related to the William Sheehan sex abuse case.

While a psychological report said Sheehan cannot stand trial due to his health, the local case remains open according to the Boston Globe.

Federal investigators may be looking at issues such as who else knew of the abuse and if others were involved.

In September 2012, eight men accused Sheehan of abusing them while he was employed by the town. The number rose to 22 and could be higher.

When police went to arrest Sheehan at a Florida nursing home, he was found suffering from the late stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
