Arrest Made in Elderly Breaking and Entering Case

A man accused of robbing an elderly person in July is now in police custody and will be arraigned in Wrentham later today.

A man accused of breaking and entering into an elderly person's home is now in police custody.

Sonny George, 44, of Everett was arrested earlier today and has been charged with breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony and larceny over $250 from a victim over 60 years old.

George is accused of breaking and entering into an elderly person's home on Fox Hill Road on July 31.

According to the Foxborough police, the two person operation involved one person knocking on the door of the home and telling the woman who owns the house that he was a contractor installing a fence on a neighboring property.

While the first person brought the homeowner out back to show her where the fence would go, a second person entered the house and stole several items. Minutes later, the first person received a phone call and said he had to go to a different job.

When the women returned to her home, she noticed several items missing including cash and jewelry.

George was discovered after an investigation with the assistant of detectives from Dedham, Randolph, and Boston. All four departments were investigating similar incidents in their communities with similar suspect descriptions. After discovering George, a warrant was put out for his arrest yesterday.

George was arrested earlier this morning at his residence by the Everett Police Department on the Foxborough warrant.

George is scheduled to be arraigned later today at Wrentham District Court.

The incident is still under investigation and further charges are likely against George for the offenses which occurred in other communities. Additional suspects also may be charged.
