3 Teens Arrested for Armed Robbery Outside Foxborough Apartment Complex

Three teenagers were arrested Sunday night on armed robbery charges after allegedly assaulting and robbing a 16-year-old Halifax boy outside Pine Tree Gardens apartment complex on Chestnut Street, according to Foxborough police logs.

A 17-year-old Sharon man, 16-year-old Sharon boy and a 16-year-old Foxborough boy were each arrested and charged with armed robbery, conspiracy and larceny over $250 following the incident.

Police received an emergency 911 call from a Halifax woman just after 8 p.m. Sunday reporting her 16-year-old son was “assaulted by three [males] in the common area of Pine Tree Gardens, 101 Chestnut St., Foxborough,” according to police logs. “[Caller] reported firearm was shown during the incident.”

Foxborough officers James Fahey, Patrick Hoffman, Valesay Collins, Douglas Miller, and James Payne responded to the scene.

Investigating officers requested a K-9 response and were joined by K-9 officers Mike Gilboy of Franklin Police and Mark O’Reilly of the Department of Corrections.

Police contacted Verizon for ping information of one of the suspect’s cell phones after the three teenagers fled the area.

During the investigation, officers determined the Sharon address of one of the suspects through the cell phone ping and responded to Sharon where they were assisted by Sharon Police in taking one suspect into custody.

By 12:36 a.m., police had successfully located all three suspects and recovered a BB gun.
