That plant was to go into a pink garden at church, in memory of a woman who passed away a year ago. She, being a good person, would forgive you. I, on the other hand am quite ticked off, shall we say. I go to church not because I am a good Christian but because I want to associate with people a lot nicer then you. People of conscience; people who care about each other; people who get up every day and try to do the right thing. But I will pray for you. I will pray that you never watch the suffering of a loved one as they go through medical procedure after procedure to be told they are well and then weeks later be told they must endure more, and then be told...it’s time to get "your affairs" in order, say goodbye and here's the number for hospice....
A plant will not bring her back. After a few years no one will remember why it was placed in the church yard or why we even have a pink garden. But it will make the yard of the church, that she so loved, look nicer. Her family and many friends will know it is there. But now they will have to wait until I can find another one.
Enjoy the ill-gotten hydrangea and I do truly wish that it will bring hope, joy, and pleasure to someone.
Peace to you, SBM
