Yvonne E. (Welsh) Fox, died Friday morning, Aug. 10 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Ernest Fox who died in 2009. She was born in Norwood, the daughter of the late Daniel and Estelle (Decoste) Welsh and lived much of her young life in Foxborough and lived the past 44 years in Sudbury.
She graduated from Foxborough High School and the Burdett Secretarial School and was employed in many of the executive offices, including the City Clerk's Office, for the town of Sudbury until her retirement. In her free time Mrs. Fox loved to knit, crochet and bake and also volunteered many hours at Boston Medical Center's cancer support group.
She is survived by three daughters; Deborah Fox of Concord, Regina Fox of Framingham, Susan Fox of Framingham and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Thomas Welsh. Funeral services and burial are private and under the direction of the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral) of Marlborough.
