Obituary: Calling Hours for Joseph F. Santos to be Held in Foxborough Monday

Calling hours for Joseph F. Santos will be held at Roberts & Sons Funeral Home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Joseph F. Santos, age 75, died on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at the Villages Regional Hospital in Florida. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Brazil) Santos.

Joseph was born on Oct. 9, 1937 in Bridgeport, Conn. and was a graduate of Harding High School, Class of 1955 and attended Bridgeport University. He and his wife Maria were married on Nov. 10, 1956 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Boston. He has been a Florida resident since 1972.

Joseph was the former Director of Transportation for Bayuk Cigars of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and was past President of Delta Nu Alpha Broward County Chapter 219. He then worked for several years for SCI Funeral Homes in the Fort Lauderdale area when he retired. He was a member of the St. Mark’s Greek Orthodox Church in Florida.

He loved spending time with his wife on vacations in Clearwater Beach in Florida and enjoyed taking Caribbean cruises. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.

Beloved husband of Maria (Anagnos) Santos. Devoted father of the late Jeffrey Santos. Brother of the late Louis Santos. Brother in-law of Nick Anagnos and his wife Lucy, Bill Anagnos and George Anagnos. Cousin of Alice Hristov and her husband Peter and Manual Cabral. Also survived by one niece and two nephews.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Theologian Church, 1007 West St., Mansfield. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxborough.
