Obituary: Remembering WWII Veteran Clarence W. McConnell - A Longtime Foxborough Resident

Clarence W. McConnell, 93, passed away on Nov. 7, 2012. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Corps and was a Foxborough resident for over 35 years. His obituary is courtesy of Roberts & Sons Funeral Home.

Clarence W. McConnell, age 93, died on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. He was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Price) McConnell.

Clarence was born in Attleboro on April 13, 1919 and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. Clarence proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a Foxborough resident for over 35 years.

Clarence worked for many years as an engineer for the Foxboro Company. An avid golfer, Clarence was a longtime member of the Foxborough Country Club. He enjoyed photography, especially taking photographs of his family and nature. He enjoyed following New England sports teams and was an avid New England Patriots fan. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather.

Husband of the late Beverley (Morse) McConnell and Barbara (Wood) McConnell. Beloved father of Cheryl McGrath of Mansfield, Dale McConnell of Norway, Maine, Nancy Richendollar of Mansfield, Donna Scott and her husband Charlie of Ariz. and Janine Izzo and her husband Gary of Norton. Brother of Everett McConnell of North Attleboro and Eleanor Garrett of Block Island, R.I.
