Obituary: Remembering Virginia Marie Hartin – Active Volunteer in Foxborough

Virginia Marie Hartin, 85 passed away on Oct. 26, 2012. She was an active volunteer in the Foxborough community and was named the 2011 Volunteer of the Year at Patriot Place.

Virginia Marie (McArdle) Hartin, age 85, died on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at her home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Sherry) McArdle.

Virginia was born in Boston on Jan. 13, 1927 and was a graduate of Roslindale High School in 1945. She was a former member of the Foxborough Tenants Organization, Board of Directors and Past President of HESSCO in Foxborough, Board of Trustees of the former Caritas Norwood Hospital, representative of the Foxborough Council on Aging and member of the Neponset Valley Health Coalition.

She volunteered at the Dental Clinic of Foxborough, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanities, and over the years in many other organizations. In 2011, she was awarded Volunteer of the Year at Patriot Place.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Hartin. Loving mother of June A. Neely of North Attleboro and Arthur J. Hartin of Stowe, Vt. Sister of Jean M. White of Hingham and Kevin J. McArdle of Scituate. Also survived by four loving grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
