Obituary: John J. Welby Jr.

John J. Welby, Jr., age 48, died peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Home and Hospice Care in Providence in the company of his beloved companion, Florence Becker.

John was born on Jan. 18, 1964 in Boston, the son of Jack and Claire (Fisher) Welby. He was raised in Foxborough where he was a graduate of Foxborough High School, Class of 1982. He was a graduate of Bay State School of Technology in Canton in 2000. He has been a resident of Attleboro for the past 10 years.

John worked as an HVAC technician at Harvard Medical School for UGL through Union Local 877. John loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed rides to the White Mountains of N.H. He was a devoted and loyal father, son and friend.

Loving and long time companion of Florence (Doyle) Becker. Devoted father of Kimberly Welby of Attleboro and step father of Belinda and her husband Barry Durham of Mansfield. Son of Claire (Fisher) Howard of Norton. Brother of Kevin Welby of Mansfield.
