Foxborough Resident Richard Eames Dies Unexpectedly at 65

Eames proudly served his country as a Seabee in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.

Richard Edward Eames, 65, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his home in Foxborough. He was the Son of the late Ralph and Mildred (Perkins) Eames.

Beloved Husband of Christine (Hannon) Eames. Loving father of Richard E. Eames, Jr. of Quincy, Kerri Griffin of Milton and Ryan M. Eames of Boston. Devoted Grandfather to Shawn, Kaylee and Ryan. Brother of the late Roger Eames. Nephew of the late Violet Phillips. Cousin of Steven Phillips of Raymond, ME.

Richard was born in Boston on June 7, 1947. He was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1965, and Newbury College in Boston. He proudly served his country as a Seabee in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.

He and his wife, Christine, were married at the Toll House in Whitman on April 25, 1981. He was a thoughtful and caring husband. He loved to travel and was a great planner of many adventures. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He was also an avid NASCAR, country music and New England Patriots fan.

Richard worked for Honeywell Information Systems and F.E.M.A. for many years. He was a member of the Foxborough American Legion Post 93. He was a member of the board of directors and coach for both the St. Mary’s C.Y.O. Basketball League and the Foxborough Youth Soccer Association.
