Foxborough Obituary: Marguerite M. Bornstein

Marguerite M. Bornstein, 85, was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Bornstein, who passed away on Sept. 25, lived in Foxborough for 25 years. Her obituary is courtesy of Roberts & Sons Funeral Home.

Marguerite M. Bornstein, age 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. Comforted by family and friends, her daughter, Mary and friend, Pat Christie, were by her side.

Marguerite was born in Charlestown on Aug. 10, 1927, the daughter of John and Margaret McTighe.

Marguerite was educated in Boston Schools. Her quick wit and compassionate nature found many friends throughout the Foxborough community where she has lived for over 25 years.

Marguerite worked for many years at the former Sharaf’s Restaurant, Back Bay in Boston. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough. In addition to volunteer work at the Wrentham Developmental Center, she was an avid reader of three daily newspapers and crime fictions.

Marguerite was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brother, John McTighe and her husband, Frederick Bornstein.

Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Mary Michaels and her husband Lloyd of Meadville, Pennsylvania and their son, Jack Michaels, who resides with his wife Emily and their children, Callie and Tyler in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.

Services are private and under the care of the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, Foxborough.
