Patriot Place's 5th Annual Irish Festival Set for March 15

Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Patriot Place to feature live Irish music, step dancing performances, free family activities and much more from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 15.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.  – Discover the joys of the Irish culture at Patriot Place’s 5th Annual Irish Festival on Saturday, March 15. The popular St. Patrick’s Day event features live performances by Irish musicians and step dancers and free Irish-themed activities for children.

Joshua Tree, the nation’s premier U2 tribute band, and Devri, a Boston based band with major ties to Ireland, headline several live music performances on the main stage located across from Dunkin’ Donuts in the North Marketplace.

Among other performers will be the Stuart Highlanders, a pipe and drum band specializing in the art of bagpipes, and the William O’Wayz Band. The day will also feature Irish step dancing performances by The Harney Academy of Walpole, Mass., the Dunleavy Shaffer School of Irish Dance of Norwell, Mass. and the Sullivan School of Irish Dance of Newton, Mass.

Throughout the festival, families will enjoy face painting stations, inflatable bounce houses, a sheep petting area and much more.

5th Annual Irish Festival at Patriot Place Schedule

11:00 a.m.

  • The Celtic Shops at Patriot Place - Bridget’s - An Irish Tradition, Eire’s Irish Imports and Irish Records will be located throughout Patriot Place with Irish imports and goods from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • O’Revolution Sacar (Soccer) Bounce House Fan Zone –Bounce around all afternoon and meet the New England Revolution’s official mascot, Slyde and the Revs Girls.  Located outside of Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Gaelic Páiste (Children) Crafts – Color your own St. Patrick’s Day Shades or scratch your own Green Magic Color Shamrock (while supplies last). Located in the Irish Craft Center across from Davio’s restaurant.
  • Sand Art – Stop by the Patriot Place Activity Center for sand art fun! Fill your container with different fun colors to make a necklace (while supplies last). Located in the Irish Craft Center across from Davio’s restaurant from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Caricature Artist - Have Patriot Place’s talented caricature artist turn a blank piece of paper into an amazing St. Patrick’s Day-themed scene with you in it! Station is located outside of Eastern Mountain Sports from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Éireannach Face Painting – Stop by to get your face painted with a St. Patrick’s Day theme. Located outside of the Irish Craft Center across from Davio’s restaurant from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Éire Green Screen Picture Fun – Dress up and take fun photos for free in the Patriot Place green screen! Located in the Irish Craft Center across from Davio’s restaurant from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Caoraigh Petting Area – Patriot Place’s live sheep petting area will make you feel like you are right in the heart of Ireland! These friendly sheep are a great photo opportunity for families. Petting area is located across from GNC and Olympia Sports in the North Marketplace from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Stuart Highlanders – This pipe and drum band, specializing in the art of bagpipes, will perform on the Irish Festival main stage across from Dunkin’ Donuts from 11-11:30 a.m. From there, the band will proceed up and down the Patriot Place spine, filling the air with traditional Irish music, for all to enjoy from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

11:30 a.m.

  • Harney Irish Step Dancers – Watch as the Harney Academy of Walpole, Mass. perform amazing Irish step dance routines. Located in front of the main stage across from Dunkin’ Donuts from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

12:00 p.m.

  • MIX 104.1 Radio Street Team – Visit the MIX 104.1 Radio Street Team outside of the Patriot Place Activity Center from noon to 2 p.m.
  • William O’Wayz Band – Listen to the fun, upbeat music of the William O’Wayz Band, on the main stage across from Dunkin’ Donuts from noon to 1 p.m.

1:15 p.m.

  • Devri – This Boston-based band with major ties to Ireland will treat guests to an impressive mix of traditional Irish music, classic and modern rock. Located on the main stage across from Dunkin’ Donuts from 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

2:00 p.m.

  • AMP 103.3 Radio Street Team – Visit the 103.3 AMP Radio Street Team outside of Old Navy from 2-4 p.m.
  • Dunleavy School of Irish Dance – Watch as the Dunleavy Shaffer School of Irish Dance of Norwell, Mass. performs amazing traditional Irish step dance routines. Located in front of the main stage across from Dunkin’ Donuts.

2:30 p.m.

  • Joshua Tree – Listen to the popular music of U2 performed by the nation’s premier U2 tribute band on the main stage across from Dunkin’ Donuts from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

3:30 p.m. 

  • Sullivan School of Irish Dance – Watch as the Sullivan School of Irish Dance of Newton, Mass. performs amazing traditional Irish step dance routines. Located in front of the main stage across from Dunkin’ Donuts from 3:30 to 4 p.m.

4:00 p.m.

  • Devri – The Boston-based band with major ties to Ireland returns to the main stage from 4-5 p.m. to close out the fifth annual Irish Festival!
