The documentary chronicling the life of a Foxboro teenager with Progeria has been shortlisted for the Academy Awards for Best Documentary.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Life According to Sam, was one of the 15 films to make the list according to Variety Magazine. The films were picked from a list of 147 films that initially qualified.
Life According to Sam follows now 17-year-old Sam Berns as he lives with a rapid aging disease and his parents fight to find a cure.
The five final nominees will be announced on Jan. 16 with the Oscars to be presented on March 2.
