The Mystical Impulse in Judaism

The most familiar
aspect of Jewish mysticism in popular culture is Kabbalah, but the roots of
Jewish mysticism date back to Biblical times.  Join us for a weekend of
exploration of Jewish mysticism with guest educator Rabbi Danny Horwitz.

Friday, October 18, 6:30 PM

Dinner*, services, followed by Rabbi Horwitz's talk: "The Mystical
Influence on Jewish Prayer"



Saturday, October 19, 9:15 AM

Kabbalah Text Study with Rabbi Horwitz, followed by services and luncheon (no
charge)



Sunday, October 20, 10:00 AM

Brunch* followed by Rabbi Horwitz's talk: "Kabbalah and the Big
Questions"



(*There is an $18 per person charge for both Friday dinner and Sunday brunch).



Rabbi Danny Horwitz is a spiritual leader and highly acclaimed educator from
Houston Texas. Rabbi Horwitz has a degree as Doctor of Jewish Studies from
Spertus Institute of Judaica in Chicago, where his thesis was on Jewish
Mysticism.
