The BBQ Boys are a six member acoustic ensemble who play an eclectic mix of country blues, bluegrass, Celtic, golden oldies, unplugged rock and more. Their wide variety of vocal and instrumental styles assure that a BBQ Boys performance will provide a toe-tapping evening of fun with something for everyone.

Multi-instrumentalist Scotty Scott (guitar, mandolin), harmonica virtuoso Stu Barer, and singerDon Bailey have been gigging in the Boston area for years with such bands as the Moose Hill Ramblers, Married With Chitlins, and The Jaywalkers. One of New Hampshire’s finest bassists,Wando, of the rockin’ 60s band, The Transistors, provides the rhythm section along with drummer/singer Mike Kelleher, also well known in the local Celtic community for his years leading sessions at Canton’s Irish Cultural Center. Rounding out the lineup is old-timey/Cajun fiddler Levi Abrams, whose powerful bass voice provides the foundation for the band’s vocal harmonies.

You never know quite what to expect at a BBQ Boys show — an Appalachian fiddle tune, a Chuck Berry rocker, an Irish jig, a bluegrass stomper, a swing standard, maybe even a Monkees fave! But one thing you can count on is that their outstanding musicianship, laid-back atmosphere and offbeat humor will make you awfully glad you came
