Foxborough Jaycees Events

The Foxboro Jaycees, active in the community since 1961, are delighted to announce our holiday 2012 season schedule:

Decorating of the Common & Nativity Scene Setup – Saturday, Dec 1, 9 a.m. (on the Foxboro Common) - Lights, garlands, bows, wreaths, and the Nativity Scene make the Foxboro Common ready for the holiday season. Please come out for a few hours and join us for this family event of decorating the Common.  Everyone is welcome, and students can even count this work towards National Honor Society or other community service credit.

Caroling on the Common – Thursday, Dec 20, 6 p.m. (on the Foxboro Common) - We partner with the Foxboro High School Jazz Ensemble to provide this free sing-a-long event on the Foxboro Common along with hot chocolate and cookies to the public, before heading over to the Doolittle Home to provide holiday cheer to the seniors there.

Sand For Seniors – ongoing throughout winter season - A community development project by the Foxboro Jaycees to help senior citizens needing sand or salt during the winter season. If you are a Foxboro senior citizen who needs sand or salt for winter, we can deliver a bucketful to your door. Call Mohsen at (508) 203-1670 and leave a massage. You can also email him at mohsenkh53@hotmail.com.

In addition to these events, at this time of year the Jaycees send presents to a needy child, assemble 250 fruit baskets for the Foxboro Discretionary Food baskets, and enjoy our own formal holiday dinner, Yankee swap, and other events.  The Jaycees offer something for everyone:  Want to learn leadership and management skills, help your community, and make great friends?  Check us out!  For up-to-date information on all the Foxboro Jaycees holiday projects, or about the Foxboro Jaycees in general, please find us at www.foxborojaycees.org or call us at 508-203-1JCS (508-203-1527).
