YMCA Offering Stewards of Children Training at Foxborough Public Safety Building

Child protection trainings will be held on Jan. 24 and Feb. 7 at the Foxborough Public Safety Building from 6:30-8 p.m.

The Hockomock Area YMCA will be offering Stewards of Children child protection trainings on Thursday, Jan. 24th and Thursday, Feb. 7th at the Foxborough Public Safety Building on 8 Chestnut St. The trainings will begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. 

Stewards of Children is the only evidenced based child sexual prevention training proven effective in educating adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

These trainings are offered free of charge by the Hockomock Area YMCA.  Registration however, is required 24 hours in advance of each training as space is limited. To register, contact Tony Calcia at (508) 643-5226 or at tonyc@hockymca.org.

The Stewards of Children Training has been developed by Darkness to Light, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse through the education and raised awareness of adults. It has been shown that one-in-four girls and one-in-six boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18.
