Winter Storm Watch Issued for Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning

Several inches of snow could fall in Eastern Massachusetts from the winter storm.

Forecasters say a snow storm is expected to roll into Eastern Massachusetts Monday, hitting the coast around 5 p.m. and dropping 3-5 inches of snow along the coast and 1-3 inches inland, according to the WHDH Channel 7 forecast.

Most of the snow is expected to fall on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch beginning Monday afternoon. In Foxborough, NWS calls for snow showers mainly after 4 p.m. Accumulation is expected to be less than a half an inch Monday afternoon/evening. Snow will continue overnight, mainly before 4 a.m. Tuesday and is expected to leave 1-3 inches in town.

Snow is expected to continue  Tuesday, mainly before 10 a.m. Daytime accumulation is expected to be less than an inch.
