1. What's Open and Closed on Presidents' Day

Presidents' Day, celebrated the third Monday of February, has developed over time to honor both President George Washington (birthday Feb. 22) and Abraham Lincoln (birthday Feb. 16) in particular, and our country's presidents throughout history in general.

Considered a traditional bank holiday, you will nevertheless find many banks and most retail stores open for business. However, here is a short list closings that may impact Foxborough Monday.

2. Russell Disposal Trash Pick-Up Delayed

Foxborough's town trash services (Russell Disposal) will be delayed one day throughout the week because of Monday's holiday.

3. Presidents' Day Forecast Calls for Sunny with a High Near 30

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for sunny, with a high near 30. Wind chill values as low as -6. Breezy, with a west wind 17 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 18. West wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

  • Noon to 2 p.m. - Winter Wonder 2013 - Henry the Juggler:
    Henry the juggler is considered armed (and legged) and dangerous. He is known to cause outbursts of laughter with his ability to juggle and toss rings, clubs and other apparatus of his trade.

5. February Vacation in Foxborough

Foxborough schools are closed for the week as students and staff are on February vacation. Classes resume on Monday, Feb. 25.
