Week in Review: Liability Insurance Issue Resolved, Police Arrest 3 on Larceny Charges, and More

A months long issue with insurance has come to an end in Foxborough, much to the relief of everyone involved and concertgoers everywhere.

With a vote of 4-0, the Foxborough Board of Selectmen approved the licenses for the Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, and Kenny Chesney concerts on the conditions that the town was able to obtain a liability insurance for town employees that brings the town’s deductible back down to $7,500 per a successful claim.

Bon Jovi Curfew Moved to Midnight

When Bon Jovi comes to town on July 20, they will be playing a little later than usual. Requesting a new curfew time, the Foxborough Board of Selectmen voted 4-0 to move the required end time to the show from 11:15 p.m. to midnight.

The request came because when the original entertainment license was approved, it was done so without an opening act signed on to perform. Since then the Boston-based J. Geils Band was announced as the opener. Due to their local roots, they are expected to play a longer set than what is normal for an opening act.

The stadium advisory committee endorsed the extension 9-1 and public safety officials have stated that they have no issues with the request.

The new opening date is considered a "moving target" but the library is aiming to reopen by the end of July.
