Updated Forecast Predicts Half Foot of Snow in Foxborough

Despite an initial forecast of 3-5 inches of snow, Foxborough may get a little more than expected.

Originally thought to be a relatively small storm that would drop between 3 to 5 inches of snow in Foxborough, a new forecast from WHDH shows the town getting closer to six or more inches through Friday in the area. 

In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Norfolk County until 1 p.m. Friday. The warning claims the potential for anywhere from 4-8 inches of snow in the area, with a low probability of 10 inches in some isolated areas.

According to the warning, the heaviest accumulations are expected tonight into Friday morning but some accumulations will occur today, especially across the elevated interior areas of southeast Massachusetts.

Winds are expected to hit 15 to 25mph, with gusts up to 45mph.

Some power outages were reported in the area due to the weather on Thursday morning, according to National Grid's power outage map.
