TELL US: Was Releasing Hernandez the Right Decision?

As of the morning of June 26, Aaron Hernandez is no longer a New England Patriot. Go on the team's website and you'll find few references to him. Try to buy his jersey at the Gillette Stadium Pro Shop and you'll find quickly that the merchandise with his name on it has been pulled.

When the Boston Herald asked if the Patriots were right to release Hernandez shortly after he was arrested and later charged with murder, the newspaper found that fans are split on the issue.

One fan from Milton said he supported the decision because Hernandez blew the chance he was given by the team. Another fan however, thought it was unfair to release the tight end before it is decided if he is guilty or innocent.

With Hernandez off the team, do you think releasing him was the right decision? Do you feel with the charges it was best for the Patriots to cut ties or do you think the Patriots should have waited until the court ruled on his case? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think!
