I will not mention any corporate chains. For seasonal places, I would say Flint Farm in Mansfield (serves Richardson's ice cream), Scoops on 1A in Walpole next to Watson's Candy (serves Richardson's ice cream and real chocolate sprinkles) Golf Country in Easton (serves Richardson's ice cream) Black Cow in Millis (they make their own ice cream) Hilliard's House of Candy in N Easton and Canton (they make their own ice cream and serve real chocolate sprinkles) Sweet N' Crafty in Mansfield (they make their own ice cream) Bubbling Brook in Westwood (no sprinkles at all) Year round: Crescent Ridge in Sharon (make their own ice cream and serves real chocolate sprinkles) Spruce Pond Creamery in Franklin (they make their own ice cream) Bliss Bros Dairy in Attleboro (they make their own ice cream and also some of Crescent Ridge's ice cream) Ice cream Machine in Cumberland, RI (they make their own ice cream)

all great places, but isnt this for Foxboro and Wrentham places only?
Renee June 29, 2012 at 11:08 PM
Nope. It says "tell us about the best place to get ice cream in and around Foxborough and Wrentham." Mansfield is right next to Foxboro, Franklin is right next to Wrentham, etc......I forgot Tootsie's Icecream in Wrentham. It's a nice old fashioned ice cream parlor that has outdoor and indoor seating. They serve Richardson's ice cream and are open seasonally. There is Nicky's in Wrentham, it's a restaurant that has an ice cream fountain, open year round.

ok good job nominating every place around.
Renee July 02, 2012 at 08:21 PM
I think these votes are just plain silly. People go to places out of convenience, price or loyalty. I can write a novel and give all the details, good and bad about each place, but that would be pointless. Many people don't know about these places so it's a service to inform the public. Almost forgot about The Big apple in Wrentham. They serve Richardsons ice cream seasonally as well.

Dairy Queen

Yes, feed the corporate machine. Too bad Dairy Queen is the only choice in Foxboro. I miss the Friendly's that closed, at least it's a Massachusetts based corporation.
Ryan S July 05, 2012 at 02:03 AM
seriously. its a poll. so leave your ONE recommendation, or shut it.
Renee July 05, 2012 at 10:30 PM
That is extremely RUDE and uncalled for. Your "recommendation" should not be taken seriously, Dairy Queen, lol. I posted all of the local places that serve good ice cream, now it's up to the public to try and decide for themselves.
Ryan S July 06, 2012 at 12:30 AM
and there is a Yellow Pages for a listing of all the local places. Its not a 'recommendation', its a nomination.
Renee July 06, 2012 at 11:44 AM
Actually, there are not "Yellow Pages" listings for all of these places, what decade are you living in? Many of these places are businesses that just happen to have an ice cream stand during the summer months. Most people would have no idea that they serve ice cream unless they stop by. Again, a nomination for a corporation that has the same ice cream (soft serve at that) in hundreds of locations around the country is a joke.
