Raytheon to Hold Engineering Day for Children at The Hall at Patriot Place Thursday

Children are invited to participate in Raytheon's free event at the Patriots Hall of Fame Thursday.

On Thursday, Feb. 21, The Hall at Patriot Place and partner Raytheon will celebrate National Engineers Week with an Engineering Day at The Hall featuring Science from Scientists.

The Hall will host a pair of free two-hour programs appropriate for children at least 10 years old. Both sessions will feature an hour-long interactive show, with an additional hour to tour The Hall and enjoy light refreshments. Kids will experience up-close experiments like Chemiluminescence (or how chemicals can glow in the dark), Elephant Toothpaste (or how catalysts speed up reactions), Rainbows of Fire (or how fireworks become different colors) and then cheer on a scientist as he lies on a bed of nails.

The morning session begins at 10 a.m. and the afternoon session begins at 2 p.m.
