Patriot Place Kicks Off Holiday Season Monday with 'Holiday Lights Spectacular'

Event to feature inaugural solar canopy musical lights show, annual lighting of the Holiday Giving Tree, $1,000 shopping spree and coat-sorting event with the Patriots Women’s Association.

Patriot Place will kick off the holiday season in Foxborough on Monday, Nov. 19 with a Holiday Lights Spectacular.

The event will feature an inaugural musical lights show on Patriot Place’s new NRG Solar Canopy and the annual lighting of the Cradles to Crayons Holiday Giving Tree.

Visitors will be greeted with live holiday music, caroling, Santa and other special guests. The Patriot Place Street Team will be on site with giveaways, prizes and more.

The giving tree, benefiting Patriot Place’s charitable partner, Cradles to Crayons, features ornaments containing a holiday request from a child in need. Visitors to Patriot Place are invited to take an ornament from the tree and purchase the assigned gift to fulfill a child’s wish. Gifts can be dropped off throughout the holiday season at the Patriot Place Management Office, located next to Skipjack’s or at participating Patriot Place retailers.

Earlier in the day, Linda Holliday and Rosanne Gregory of the Patriots Women’s Association will join Cradles to Crayons, Old Navy employees and Patriot Place staff on a $1,000 shopping spree at Old Navy. The children’s clothes purchased will help launch the Holiday Giving Tree initiative.

The Patriots Women’s Association will also gather in the Patriot Place Activity Center to accept coat donations from the public and sort coats by size for Cradles to Crayons. Through Dec. 24, visitors to Patriot Place can donate new or gently used coats for children from infants to age 12 at participating Patriot Place retailers. Cradles to Crayons will distribute the coats to low-income and homeless children in need of a warm coat this winter.

Holliday and Gregory will also be participating in a $1,000 shopping spree at Old Navy for the Holiday Giving Tree.
