Murder Investigation Involving Aaron Hernandez Heating Up

In addition to being tracked by news helicopters, more reports began to appear that linked Aaron Hernandez to the murder of Odin Lloyd.

More details emerged in a homicide investigation involving Aaron Hernandez yesterday as the member of the Patriots was followed by media and his house was once again searched by authorities.

At 11 a.m. on June 20, news helicopters began to follow a white SUV driven by Hernandez from his North Attleboro home to Gillette Stadium.

The scene, which drew up memories of the 1994 OJ Simpson high speed chase, continued after Hernandez left the stadium around 12:15 p.m. and headed towards Route 1A.

The system had video surveillance and was allegedly broken intentionally. Police are also looking into why Hernandez had house cleaners scrub the home on Monday, June 17.

Surveillance video recovered by police at Hernandez's home appeared to be tampered with according to WCVB but investigators were able to obtain some images off the cameras.

In addition, a cell phone given to authorities by Hernandez's attorney was handed over heavily damaged.

More links to the investigation began to appear in the late afternoon when multiple sources speaking to FOX 25 told the news station that neighbors in NorthAttleboro heard gunshots between 3 and 3:30 a.m. on June 17 but did not report the noises.

Shortly afterwards, Hernandez and two men were seen walking into his home.

The news was the latest to connect Hernandez to the death of 27 year oldDorchester resident Odin Lloyd. The semi-pro football player for the Boston Bandits was dating Hernandez's girlfriend's sister.

On June 17, a jogger found Lloyd's dead body near a dirt pile less than a mile from Hernandez's home.

A Chevrolet Suburban with Rhode Island plates rented in Hernandez's name was found near the scene of the crime and sparked the police's interest in Hernandez.

Sources have placed both Hernandez and Lloyd at a Boston bar on the evening of June 16 according to WHDH. Police are looking at camera footage from the bar according to news reports.

Police have questioned Hernandez but have yet to name any suspects make an arrest. The death is being investigated as a homicide.

Hernandez and his attorney have not made any statements pertaining to the investigation.
