Massachusetts Regional Red Cross Shelters Open

The Massachusetts Regional Red Cross shelters have opened as of 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27 in anticipation of Hurricane Irene.

is expected to make landfall in the Foxborough area tonight through Sunday evening, packing a powerful punch of heavy rains and damaging winds.

Mainland Red Cross shelters include:

• Salem High School, 77 Wilson Street *Animal care plan
• Weymouth High School, 1 Wildcat Way *Animal care plan
• Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School, 415 Center Street *Animal Care plan
• Attleboro High School, 100 Rathbun Willard Drive, *Animal Care Plan 

Note: *denotes that animal care plans are in place at or near the shelter locations.
