To the editor,

At the annual town meeting Foxboro will be voting on whether to pass the meals tax to raise revenue for the town. If the meals tax doesn't pass, it will mean that the Foxboro Council on Aging & Human Services will take about a 11.6% cut in their budget. This is devastating to our operations. It means reducing the hours of operation of the van service by half!! The van is a lifeline for many in the community. It will also reduce a program position by 40 %.

The Foxborough Council on Aging & Human Services Board has taken an official position to support the meals tax.
