Hurricane Warnings Reschedule Kenny Chesney's Aug. 28 Show at Gillette to Aug. 26

Kenny Chesney's August 28 show at Gillette Stadium has been rescheduled to Friday, August 26 due to Hurricane Warnings.

Although Hurricane Irene is still a distance away from Foxborough, Country music superstar, Kenny Chesney, is taking no chances when it comes to his fan's safety. After the recent stage collapse at the Sugarland concert in Indiana, due to heavy rain and wind, many fans are praising Chesney for his choice to move Sunday's August 28 concert to Friday night, August 26.

According to Chesney's Facebook page, "due to the US National Hurricane Center's forecast that hurricane-level storms that may occur in New England on Sunday, August 28, local officials, promoters, Chesney and his team have decided for safety reasons to push Chesney's Sunday, August 28 concert at Foxboro's Gillette Stadium to Friday, August 26."

"Our first and foremost priority is the fans' safety," said promoter Louis Messina of TMG/AEG Live in an official press statement. "So we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the show."
