Hockomock YMCA Holds Golf Clinic for Special Needs Kids

On Monday, July 15th, the Hockomock Area YMCA held a golf clinic for their Integration Initiative program which provides Y programs and services to children and youth with special needs. The participants came out to the renowned TPC Boston in Norton to receive golf instruction from the club’s pros to learn the game of golf and use the skills they learned to play a few holes on the championship golf course. The day started with 15 minute skill stations that included putting, chipping and full swing instruction.

Local sports legends including former New England Patriots and local sports legends Peter Brock, Joe Andruzzi, and Steve King were on hand to support the Hockomock Area YMCA. The second golf clinic will be held on August 5th, thanks to the generosity of TPC Boston.

Since 2004, the Hockomock Y’s Integration Initiative, supported by the Legends Ball and Legends Golf Classic, has positively impacted over 500 families by connecting children with special needs and their families to the community at large, by removing barriers to inclusion.
