Foxborough Saw More Marriages, Deaths in 2012

Foxborough's vital statistics show the town saw seven more deaths and three more marriages from 2011 to 2012.

There were more marriages and deaths recorded in Foxborough in 2012 but fewer births, according to vital statistics published in the 2012 Town Report.

Foxborough saw 98 marriages in 2012, up from 95 in 2011 and the most since 2009 (96). There were also seven more deaths recorded over the past year (106). The most deaths recorded in town since 2006 was 145 in 2010.

While marriages and deaths are trending up, births declined by two over the past year. There were 153 births in 2012, down from 155 in 2011. Foxborough saw a baby boom in 2007 with 166 births recorded – the most in the seven-year span of the report – and a low of 133 births recorded in 2009.

As for receipts and payments, the Town Clerk’s office received $50,630.96 in certificates, licenses, permits and fines.

 Statistics show Foxborough residents are certainly dog lovers as the town collected over $24,000 in dog licenses in 2012.

  • Certified copies – marriages: $2,520
  • Certified copies – deaths: $2,850
  • Certified copies – miscellaneous: $850
  • Business certificates (DBAs): $5,880
  • Dog licenses: $24,433.25
  • Police department – fines: $1,500
  • Building commissioner – fines: $100
  • Animal Control Officer – fines: $3,564
  • Board of Health – fines: $100
  • Underground storage permits: $320
  • Marriage intentions: $2,500
  • Miscellaneous: $197.07
  • Miscellaneous lists: $576.64
  • Pole locations: $80
  • Raffles permits: $260
  • Street lists: $250

There were no fire department or water & sewer department fines received in 2012.
