Foxborough Baby Born at Sturdy Hospital on 100th Anniversary

Payton Ferrara, whose parents are Kimberly Fallows and James Ferrara, of Foxborough, was born on the 100th year anniversary of Sturdy Hospital opening its doors in Attleboro.

Pictured here are two babies born at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro on April 14, 100 years to the day the hospital opened its doors.

On the left is Layla Gilheeney, whose parents are Amanda and Patrick Gilheeney Jr. of Attleboro. On the right is Payton Ferrara, whose parents are Kimberly Fallows and James Ferrara of Foxborough. 

Sturdy is a 128-bed acute care community hospital that serves a population base of 170,000 in suburban communities near Boston and Providence. It opened as a general hospital in 1913 with 15 beds.
