Flood Watch In Effect For Friday

1-2 inches of rain expected for Friday.

A flood watch for eastern and southern Massachusetts is in effect for Friday, according to the The National Weather Service.

Rain will begin to fall around daybreak Friday and could become heavy at times through the day. About 1-2 inches of rain could fall. The snow is ripe, meaning that it can no longer hold water, which is what will cause the possible urban and poor drainage flooding.

The rain will move out for good late Friday night, followed by high winds.
