Five Things: Sept. 21: Norfolk County Registry of Deeds & Warrior Sports

Five Things You Need To Know Today is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

1. The Norfolk County Registry of Deeds will hold today at the , Gala Meeting Room from 10 am - 1 pm.

The Register and members of his staff will be available to help answer questions or concerns about any Registry of Deeds matter.  Information will be available concerning the Massachusetts Homestead Act.  Internet ready computers will be on hand to print a recorded deed, confirm the status of a mortgage discharge or check on any other filing.  No appointment is needed.  For further informatioin, please call the Registry at 781-461-6104.

2.  part of a national program that is a three-way partnership between seniors, law enforcement agencies, and the Council on Aging will hold a meeting today at the  at 1:00 pm.

This partnership works together to reduce criminal victimization of senior citizens and to enhance their awareness of support services. TRIAD also works to increase senior participation in crime prevention and detection programs. The purpose is to reduce crime against seniors, and help improve the quality of life of all citizens, especially seniors. Use this opportunity to bring forward your safety issues and concerns by becoming involved in this important organization.  Everyone is invited to attend this informational meeting.

3. Warrior Varsity Sports Events:

  • The girls' soccer team will host Franklin at 3:30 pm, while the boys' soccer team travels to Franklin for a 3:30pm match.
  • The girls' volleyball team hosts Franklin at 6 pm.
  • The girls' field hockey team will travel to Franklin for a 3:30 game.
  • The boys' varsity golf team hosts Stoughton at the Foxborough Country Club at 3:30 pm.

4. The will host an afternoon story time for children ages 3-5 at 1:30 pm in the Fuller Room and activities include stories, music, movement activities, rhymes, and an easy craft. 

5. PTO will hold a meeting tonight beginning at 7 pm.
