Five Things: Nov. 1: No School, National Grid Continues Power Restoration Efforts

School is canceled in Foxborough; National Grid continues to work to restore power to the town.

2. Foxborough opened an at the Burrell School for critical families and seniors. Pets are allowed but must be crated; pets will be in a separate room. Foxborough officials are asking residents seeking shelter at the Burrell School to bring their own pillows and blankets.

3. The Kraft Group will offer a “ at Gillette Stadium for Foxborough residents who remain without power. Gillette Stadium’s Putnam Club East will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residents to get warm and charge their electronic devices. Free hot drinks, soft drinks and light snacks will be available, as well as WiFi. Foxborough residents should use the P1 entrance to Patriot Place from Route 1, park in Lot 5 and enter the E1 entrance to the Putnam Club. are also open for Foxborough residents to recharge.
