First Snowfall Causes Numerous Spinouts and Minor Accidents Throughout Mass.

New England sees its first snowfall and numerous accidents on Mass. roads.

Residents across Massachusetts woke up to an early first glimpse into winter.

This October surprise, which included a night of freezing rain, snow and sleet, caused numerous spinouts and minor accidents this morning around Massachusetts.

State police reported a cement truck rollover on Route 1 north in Foxborough near Gillette Stadium early this morning. The driver of that truck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

State police say more accidents have been reported around the Boston area and west of the city. State troopers across the Commonwealth have responded to numerous motor vehicle crashes due to icy road conditions. State police urge motorists to use caution.

Friday will remain sunny, giving residents time to adjust to the season. However, forecasters are keeping an eye on another storm. Forecasters say that 2 to 5 inches of snow could fall north and west of the Boston-Providence corridor expected to arrive in the area late Saturday and early Sunday, with a mix of rain and snow south and west.
