Daniel J. Cannata Dies at 68; Former Foxborough Business Owner and Fish & Game Member

Daniel J. Cannata passed away on March 16, 2013. He was the retired owner/operator of the former Cannata Tile Company in Foxborough.

Daniel J. Cannata, age 68 died unexpectedly at his home in Florida on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was the son of the late Leo F and Ethel (Corsini) Cannata.

Dan was born on Sept. 2, 1944 in Boston. He was the retired owner/operator of the former Cannata Tile Company in Foxborough. He married his late wife Noreen (Allsop) on Feb. 12, 1966 at St. Anne’s Church in Readville.

Dan was a former member of the Foxborough Fish & Game and the Plainville Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his late wife. He enjoyed spending time at his home in Florida and his grandchildren were his world.

Loving father of James A. and his wife Colleen of Foxborough. Devoted grandfather of Kathryn,Joseph and James, Jr. all of Foxborough. Brother of Leo Cannata of N. Attleboro, Frank Cannata of Foxborough, Sylvia McDonald of N.H., Ethel Huntley of Norton and Barbara Edler of NY. Brother inlaw of Everette and Janice Allsop of Norton.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter St., Foxborough.
