According to the _Sun Chronicle,_ The Interstate 495/Southwest Regional Commuter Rail and Operations Study draft, calls for nine to 10 MBTA commuter rail trips per day, Monday through Friday. The commuter rail would run between Boston and the Foxborough stop near Patriot Place. Another part of the proposal would also look to increase the __ that runs from Providence to Gillette Stadium.

Representatives from Foxborough, including Rep. Jay Barrows (R-Mansfield) and Sharon Wason, Foxborough Town Planner, have said they support the new study that adds convenience for commuters and continued economic development in the area. Wason noted that event service from Providence to Foxborough could propose a problem due to the close distance to businesses and homes along the south section of the CSX line to Mansfield.
