Act of Vandalism in Foxborough

An unfortunate incident of vandalism took place at Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts Monday night.

The town of Foxborough, its residents and businesses, recently experienced the mighty power of Mother Nature. Tropical Storm Irene came barreling through town Sunday, bringing with it widespread , down trees and wires.

As Foxborough recovers from the storm, an unfortunate incident of vandalism took place at Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts Monday night, located at 16 Chestnut Green.

The incident was reported to police, however it has left a stinging feeling of disappointment for the studio and the community in a time where many businesses and residents are struggling financially, not only from the storm but from the economy as a whole.

"With all mother nature has done to derail the lives of Foxboro residents and deliver a blow to Foxboro businesses, vandalism is a man made disgrace," said Carla Carey, Executive Director and Instructor at Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts. "We should be pulling together as a community not using the times as an excuse to behave irresponsibly."
