5 Things: Sage School Celebrates Class of 2013, Ahern Fundraiser, Water & Sewer Commissioners Meet & More

1. Expect a Chance of Showers Wednesday in Foxborough

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for a chance of showers, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

2. Sage School Celebrates Class of 2013

The Sage School held its commencement ceremony for the Class of 2013 last Friday to celebrate the graduation of 14 students who will be attending a mix of secondary schools including public, independent, and boarding.

These institutions include Boston University Academy, Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School, Commonwealth School, Concord Academy, Foxborough High School, Kent School, Noble and Greenough School, Philips Academy Andover, The Rivers School, Williston Northampton School and Xaverian Brothers High School.

3. Foxborough’s Water & Sewer Commissioners Meet Wednesday

The Foxborough Board of Water & Sewer Commissioners will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. inside the Water Department Office to discuss the following town business:

  • Lampson Road/Oak Street update
  • IMA update
  • Hydraulic model/CIP
  • Discuss DPW building with Bill Yukna
  • Future rate hearing with Finance Director Randy Scollins

4. Family Picnic at Igo Elementary School

There will be a family picnic held at Igo Elementary School beginning at 6 p.m.

5. Ahern Middle School Fundraiser at Barnes & Noble in Walpole

Buy your summer reading list books at the Barnes & Noble in Walpole and raise money for the Ahern Middle School. Just pick out your books, toys, CDs/DVDs or Nook related items and tell the register clerk that you were there for the Ahern Middle School fundraiser. A percentage of the sales will go to the Ahern School.

Also, listen to some great music played by Ahern students who will be playing after 6 p.m. at the store.
