1. Chance of Rain with a High Near 77 Monday in Foxborough

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for a chance of rain, mainly after 3 p.m. Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a high near 77. East wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Monday night: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 61. Southeast wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

2. Foxborough’s Board of Recreation to Discuss Skatepark Monday

Foxborough’s Board of Recreation will continue its discussion of the skatepark at 7:30 p.m. The focus of Monday’s discussion will be on the skatepark’s equipment. The board will meet later with Town Planner Sharon Wason to discuss the PARC grant application process.

3. Ahern Middle School Eighth Graders Celebrate ‘Step-Up day’

Ahern Middle School’s eighth graders will celebrate step-up day to high school from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

4. Sharon Credit Union Promotes Linda Fountain to Chief Lending Officer

Sharon Credit Union has announced the promotion of Linda Fountain to Chief Lending Officer (CLO). Linda joined the Credit Union in 2002 as the Senior Lending Officer and has been overseeing the mortgage and lending division for the past eleven years.

“When Linda joined Sharon Credit Union, it became immediately apparent that she would be a tremendous asset to the lending department and to Sharon Credit Union,” said James Carlson, president of Sharon Credit Union. “As CLO, Linda will assume a greater leadership role, both within the lending department and as a member of the Executive Management team. Her expanded responsibilities will have her more deeply involved in the strategizing and attainment of lending goals, along with researching and implementing new products and services. I look forward to working with Linda as she explores greater challenges in the years to come and am certain her efforts will produce success.”

Linda has had a long-standing career in the banking and lending industry. Her previous experiences and successes at Sharon Credit Union have promoted this current elevation in position. Linda currently resides in Middleborough.
