11 Foxborough Residents to Run in 117th Boston Marathon
Foxborough will be well represented in the 117th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15 as 11 residents are expected to participate in the race.
Eleven Foxborough residents are expected to be among the thousands of runners participating in the 117th Boston Marathon on April 15. They are:
22 23471 Morgan M. Steacy
27 24518 Dale C. Stephanos
48 22246 Marvin Wolfert 57 15493
Those residents are expected to embark on the 26.22-mile run that begins in Hopkinton and finishes at Copley Square in Boston. According to the Boston Marathon's website, the race was moved from Ashland to Hopkinton in 1924 and in 1927 the course was lengthened to the full distance of 26 miles, 385 yards to meet Olympic standards. Last year, 20 residents ran the Boston Marathon.
