Young Professional Organization Launches Website, Seeks New Members

The United Regional Young Professionals Organization (YPO), a spinoff of the United Regional Chamber of Commerce, has been busy the last few months and is happy to announce it has launched a website and is

The YPO, formed in 2010, includes a diverse group of professionals who have an interest in social and business networking, community involvement and professional development.

The group, whose focus is on 16 communities including Attleboro, Norton, Foxborough, Mansfield and Seekonk, was organized by the Chamber in direct response to the challenges in attracting and retaining diverse young professionals, according to the YPO.

To continue the momentum, the YPO is co-hosting an event with the Hampton Inn at Franklin called "Christmas in July."

 “The hotel will be decorated inside and out for Christmas – trees, lights, holiday music, movies, the works,” said Amanda Gentile, director of sales at the Hampton Inn Franklin/Milford and a member of the YPO Board.

The event will include pictures with Santa, Christmas ornaments, cookies, hot apple cider and cocoa buffet and a hotel hunt for fabulous gifts.

"Today's young professionals routinely turn to websites to check out what an organization is all about," YPO President Vicki Faunce said. "You can see the fun we've had at some of our past events, find out what's next on our schedule or read an informative blog that is relevant to this generation. "As a new organization intended to attract young professionals, it's important for the YPO to be accessible in a manner that its members are accustomed to," she added.
