What Will Splitsville at Patriot Place Look Like?

If Splitsville looks anything like the proposal presented to the Foxboro Selectmen, it will be sure to impress almost anyone walking though their doors.

Revealing the floor plans and mockups of what the Foxboro location will look like, Splitsville co-founder Mark Gibson laid out a plan to bring his retro style bowling center to Patriot Place.

The bowling alley, which will take up four spaces formerly occupied by Life is Good, Gamestop, Qdoba, and Sprint, will stretch from the mall entrance of Showcase de Lux, around the corner, and down to the area where 5 Wits and CBS Scene is located.

Unlike most bowling places, the lanes will not be restricted to one area of the building. There will be three clusters of four lanes with dining areas and bars surrounding the lanes.

“We divide the lanes, it’s something we haven’t seen our competitors do across the country,”  Gibson said. “In traditional bowling you line up 16-48 lanes and it just creates a wall of bowling so we’ve always tweaked the lanes.”

Based on the floor plans, some of the tables will place those dinning up and down the entire distance of some of the alleys.

“You just get different lines of site and perspective which we think helps break the ice, creates more natural socialization,” Gibson said.

Entering in to the establishment, there is a welcome desk for bowlers to check in. When a lane is available, a staff members takes the party and their bowling shoes to the lane, creating what Splitsville believes is a luxurious experience.

“It really is bowling first class and even in Downtown Disney people are blown away,” co-founder Guy Revell said.

For entertainment, the plans include the Howl at the Moon stage at Splitsville which would allow for the use of musicians who are already employed by the dueling piano bar to perform in Foxboro. The musicians would mainly be used on the weekends with background music being used during the weekday.

Splitsville is aiming to open in April 2014.
