Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro at Patriot Place has been recognized for having one of the “Top 100 Most Notable Wine Lists in the United States” as part of OpenTable’s 2012 Diners’ Choice Awards.
According to OpenTable, the California-based provider of online restaurant reservations, the list reflects the combined opinions of more than 5 million reviews submitted by diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in the country. Tastings is one of just two Massachusetts restaurants and four in New England to receive the recognition.
“We are thrilled and humbled to once again be selected by OpenTable diners as having one of the best wine lists in the country,” said Patti Martin, Tastings’ owner. “We put a lot of effort, pride and passion into the selection of wines for our list and are continually in search of great values for our guests. We also want to congratulate Troquet in Boston, which was the other restaurant in Massachusetts to receive this honor.”
Tastings’ wine list features 250 selections, of which 75 are available by the glass. It also encourages experimentation by offering 13 wine “flights” that include three 2-ounce pours of wine of a particular theme. You can even create your own flight. The independent, family-owned restaurant pairs its wines with farm-to-table cuisine by Chef Benjamin Lacy, which features fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced almost exclusively from local farmers, ranchers and fishermen.
