Patriot Place Employs Over 3K; Attracted 8.5M Visitors in 2012

Patriot Place, one of Foxborough's greatest financial assets, has become much more than the region's premiere dining and entertainment complex since opening in 2007.

CLARIFICATION: The 1.8 million people to visit Patriot Place in 2012 are restaurant customers only. The number of total visitors, excluding ticketed patrons at Gillette Stadium events was 8.5 million in 2012.

Patriot Place attracted 8.5 million people - 1.8 million restaurant customers - to Foxborough in 2012 and contributed roughly $3 million in revenue but the town’s asset has become much more than a dining, shopping and entertainment complex since opening in 2007.

“The impact Patriot Place has had in the community is felt on many other areas in Foxborough,” said Patriot Place General Manager Brian Earley.

It starts with local employment opportunities. Patriot Place, according to Earley, has “created approximately 3,000 full-and part-time jobs in one of the most challenging unemployment periods of our history,” especially for local residents.

“Businesses at Patriot Place are collectively the largest employers of Foxborough High School students in the town,” said Earley.

In addition to local employment opportunities, Patriot Place has provided more than 1,800 Foxborough students with free field trips since 2008 and schedules over 250 free family and community events throughout each year.

“Like the Hall at Patriot Place Presented by Raytheon, our art gallery, Bass Pro Shops, the nature trail, cranberry bog and skating rink, Patriot Place offers a unique experience that can’t be found anywhere else,” Earley said.
