Kraft Group Makes Land Purchase in Walpole

CBS-4 Boston is reporting that the Kraft Group has purchased land next to where the casino was proposed to be built before the project was halted.

The Kraft Group has purchased land next to where the casino was supposed to go in Walpole, according to a report on CBS-4 in million, and paid more than double of what it is worth.

While the land was valued at $400,000, the Kraft Group reportedly paid $1.2 million for the property. The sale was completed before the recent Foxborough town election and the announcement of both the Kraft Group and Steve Wynn they weren't going to go ahead with casino plans.
