  • Motivated self-starter.
  • An understanding of storytelling, design and editorial processes is a plus.

Assistant Manager in Retail at Gillette Stadium

This position will be responsible for assisting the store manager with all aspects of the store operations, but critically will develop staff and assist with merchandising strategy to drive sales and improved customer service.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Drive sales and customer service through leadership of staff and superior merchandising. 
  • Assist with daily store operations (open/close of store – “Key Holder”, customer service, restocks, transfers, etc…). Ensure compliance of Company Policy and Procedures, collaborate with resources as needed.
  • Manage floor appearance and product placement through merchandising and development of strategy to drive sales.
  • Inventory control and supply chain management
  • General retail administrative tasks (general accounting, reporting , staffing, supplies).
  • Provide floor supervision and coverage as needed
  • Manage staff including assisting with interviewing and selection, training and development and employee  coaching and counseling processes
  • Assist store manager w/in store retail projects (promotions, advertising)
  • Follow and regulate established store procedures and company policies
  • Most be available for nights, weekend and holiday schedule requirements

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 year minimum of management or supervisor experience in a $5+ million retail store
  • Experience in general apparel required; sports apparel preferred
  • Retail point of sale and back of house reporting experience
  • Strong computer skills necessary (Word, Excel, data spreadsheets)
  • Cash control, general accounting and inventory control experience
  • Able to work in a fast paced/high volume retail environment

General Description:

  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel according to property specific and System Standards.
  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
  • Clean and maintain the appearance of the surrounding areas of the hotel, including the sidewalk, parking lot, signage, and entrance.
  • Deep cleaning of assigned areas of the hotel including the shampooing of rooms and public areas, window washing, hotel light fixtures, and guest elevators.
  • Clean and maintain the back of the house area, including the employee break room, executive offices, the hotel laundry room, and the employee restroom.
