Health Inspections: McDonalds, Dunkin' Donuts, and More

Dunkin’ Donuts on Main Street

While no major violations were found during the inspection, the following notes were made:

  • Items not related to hand washing found in the hand washing sink. Hand washing sink is for hand washing only (sanitizers bucket with cleaning brushes). Has been corrected.
  • Ice scoop found laying on ice machine not cleaned to sight. Rewashed at inspection.
  • Personal belongings (pocketbook) found under baker’s table with muffin toppings, keep segregated. Has been corrected.
  • Sugar scoop found on top sugar bin not clean to sight (food debris found on it). Rewashed at inspection.
  • No light in walk-in cooler. Light blew on Oct. 9. Replace ASAP. Manager called in, on its way.
  • Food preppers wearing jewelry.

While no major violations were found during the inspection, the following notes were made:

  • Minor frozen condensation in freezer on shelving, watch.
  • Floor in freezer not clean to sight, dust/dirt accumulation.
  • Slicer near joint attaching slicer blade to machine (non-food contact surface) contains dried food debris, not clean to sight. Grime noted also.

Oct. 2 

McDonald’s

Two major violations were found during the inspection. Quarter pound hamburgers on a clam shell were reading between 139-166 degrees. It was noted that it seemed to be in one specific area of the shell. The problem was discovered to be correction at a re-inspection and new readings showed temperatures between 160-180 degrees. There was also mold accumulation on/around the ice shoot of the soda machine.

The following notes were made:

  • Jewelry on food preppers (bracelets). Was seen corrected during a re-inspection.
  • Ice scoop chipped. New one ordered.
  • Freezer floor under mats accumulation of dust/grime. Not done a re-inspection, clean soon.
  • Flood cooler with cheese (cheese tempted) reading high. Turned dial colder, monitor closer. No thermometer in coolers, provided.Still reading high during a re-inspection, monitor. 
  • Label ice coffee bucked. Was found to be corrected during a re-inspection.
  • Latte milk cooler bottom not clean to sight to touch, clean. Not done at re-inspection.
  • Hot/cold mixing valve in women’s room in disrepair. Right side sink in women’s room not at 110 degrees. Left sink in men’s room over 110 degree. Has been corrected.
