Health Inspections: Burrell School, Complaint at Work Out World & More

The following inspection reports were submitted by the Foxborough Health Department for the week of April 27 to May 4.

Wednesday, April 17:

Workout World 30 Commercial St: Six-month routine tanning inspection and complaint of establishment’s babysitting room not being properly sanitized. Health Director Pauline Clifford conducted the inspection and noted the following:

  • Only two employees were on duty and neither were trained for tanning devices
  • All fans for all tanning booths needed to be clean
  • Showers are cleaned twice a day
  • Slow drains in two lady room sinks (check for clogs).

The Health Department received a complaint on April 12th about the babysitting room not being propery sanitized. Upon inspection, the babysitting room was cleaned. Clifford spoke to staff about sanitizing and cleaning schedules. Clifford also noted hot water must be provided in child’s bathroom. Water bubblers must be cleaned and maintained.

Clifford re-inspected Workout World on April 23 after receiving another complaint was filed regarding the establishment’s babysitting room. The complaint reported only one person was in the room for 25 children and the room smelled like “dirty diapers.”

Wednesday, April 24:

Burrell Elementary School, 16 Morse St: Routine food services inspection was conducted here and yielded two non-critical violations in water, plumbing and waste and physical facility, according to Kevin Duquette’s report.

Duquette noted the following:

  • All items labeled
  • Good storage of personal items
  • Open ceiling tiles in kitchen
  • Resurface wood tables with stainless
  • Handle on freezer needs to be replaced
  • Hand washing sink required

Monday, April 29:

Route 1 Liquor Mart, 29 Washington St: Retail services inspection was conducted here after a motor vehicle went through the building’s entrance. Kevin Duquette reported glass was cleaned up and all bottles affected from the accident were cleared.
